A Case Manager at Recovery Centers of America is responsible for complete case management of all patient needs. He or she interviews patients and families to assess needs and risk categories to develop and implement appropriate plans of care. The Case Manager assures quality clinical care by coordinating all services and collaborating with doctors on plan of care and implements, monitors and evaluates the plan of care and its effectiveness on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the assessments and developments of the service plan and implements services to patients in accordance with their individualized service plan (ISP)
- Collaborates with the patient and their loved ones to implement an effective service plan, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each available clinical option
- Communicates and documents the patient’s progress toward their recovery
- Maintains the patient’s comprehensive clinical record
- Works collaboratively with the clinical team to engage, educate, communicate, and coordinate care with patients, their family, behavioral and general medical and dental health care providers, community resources, and others to ensure that all services prescribed are implemented
- Provides assistance in maintaining/monitoring/modifying behavioral health services
- Seeks out necessary resources other than covered services to meet basic needs.
- Ensures all appropriate referrals for identified services on the service plan are made and coordinated with service providers via contracted network providers or community resources
- Ensures all covered services identified on the service plan are evaluated and updated monthly
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a social work field or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric.
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, DSM Criteria, and terminology.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

The Substance Abuse Counselor plans, directs, and coordinates therapeutic programs for patients in RCA substance abuse treatment centers. Inspire and motivate clients and help them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices.

Responsibilities:
- Inspire and motivate clients to help them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices.
- Evaluate clients’ mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatment
- Assist clients to develop treatment goals and plans; help identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery
- Review and recommend treatment options with clients and their families
- Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior
- Perform individual and group therapy
Preferred Credentials
- LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCADC
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required
- Licensure as a LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCADC preferred
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues
- Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) preferred

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a Recovery Centers of America facility plans, directs and coordinates medically-approved programs and plays an essential role in the lives of those in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient
- Completes initial assessment and develops the plan of care
- Recognizes reports and acts upon reports of deviation in diagnostic studies
- Assists the client in understanding the nature of the disease of addiction and the need for treatment
Education & Experience:
- State-registered Practical Nursing license required
- One (1) year of experience in a substance abuse or behavioral health setting is desirable, but incumbent may be a recent graduate; phlebotomy skills preferred

Responsibilities:
- Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients & relatives to gather case history and plans and provides nursing care
- Makes nursing diagnosis of the medical status of patients and recommends treatment options
- Consults with medical and behavioral healthcare staff in designing appropriate treatment plans
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain medical records
- Assists the client in understanding the nature of the disease of addiction and the need for treatment
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Updated/active state Registered Nursing license required
- At least 2 years of experience in behavioral healthcare/addiction OR 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology

Your expertise as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will aid in patient recovery, as you support and implement effective techniques that will make a real difference in the lives of patients, their families, and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients with mental illness by conducting a comprehensive family assessment
- Collect data from multiple sources using assessment techniques that are appropriate to the patient’s language, culture, and developmental state, including screening evaluations, psychiatric rating scales, genograms and other standardized instruments
- Assess the impact of acute and/or chronic illness, psychiatric disorders, and stressors on the family system
- Teach patients’ families about the patient’s condition, and how to react in certain scenarios
- Develop a plan of care and may prescribe medication
Education & Experience:
- Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Master’s, Postgraduate, or Doctoral degree from a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), formerly NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission)
- 2+ years’ experience as an RN; 3 years’ experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Valid RN license in the state in which the individual will practice
